David Harrison Horton - A Song of Hide and Seek
The sea is not poetic,

nor is the world everything

which

is the case.

The children count fingers

to contemplate their arsenal,

as the tourists walk down

quaint cobbled streets.

The finch does not know

the end of its hunger.

The stationary store doesn’t stock

good paper,

but has just the pen

for a suicide note.
