Anthony Salandy – Infinite

A magenta stream begins to pool

and coat cracked steps

leading to an abyss unknown

and darkened by sanguine excess

where mortal chords are snapped

and blinding light exists

in tandem with obsidian desolation;

A dichotomy of suffering and joy

lavished on all those who submit

to the transience of corporality;

The triviality of existence

with assured repose eternal.

But, it is in this transition

that rouge life may begin

to nourish anew

and plenty

until memories are washed away

in a rhapsody of red

lost to ephemeral stars

decaying in glory infinite.
