Ilias Tsagas – Streamlining

rush hour drop out, I

lay still at your bank, seeking

comfort and solace

*

beneath a worn hatch

water flows in dark culverts

dreaming of daylight

*

phone signal weakens

culvert stream roars, it dreams of

rushing to the top

Ilias Tsagas is a Greek poet writing in English and in Greek. His poems have appeared in Sand Journal, The Shanghai Literary Review, streetcake magazine, Tint Journal and elsewhere. He was also a runner-up at the Briefly Write Poetry Prize 2021.
