Réka Nyitrai – Tiny songs

Dora says that her world is ruled by tiny songs. Tiny songs are otherworldly pink creatures with tufts of down on their heads and along their spines. They like to build their nests in women’s hearts. When a woman falls under the spell of the tiny songs she might easily end up on the moon, looking for angel-nests and their creamy white eggs spotted with lilac.

Réka Nyitrai is a spell, a sparrow, a lioness's tongue — a bird nest in a pool of dusk. She is the recipient of a Touchstone Distinguished Books Award for 2020 for her debut haiku volume While Dreaming Your Dreams (Valencia Spain: Mono Ya Mono Books, 2020).
