A.R. Arthur – Triangulum
Salacious lullabies lull me
into night’s repose as I descend into that bleak abyss,
that dreamworld of psychological intrusion
where the subconscious reclaims the mind
and the worries of the waking take on new form
in this ethereal world of slumber
where I yearn for the lamentation to cease
and for memories of dastard men
to vacate this pulsing vault
until my melancholy collapses
and I am freed of this earthly sentiment,
until my carcass is a husk of sinew still
and tomorrow means nothing at all.
