Satya Bosman – Tin Woman

I’ll draw the outline of a woman,

I’ll make her a house made of tin.

When it rains she’ll hear pitter patter,

pitter patter. She’ll have her own disaster shelter,

except the wind will never blow.

Outside, the paddock is full of wild horses,

you won’t find us here,

when I’ve slipped into that faraway stare.

Far from the tick tick of the mantel clock

Far from your eyes that look elsewhere.

Satya Bosman is the founder and co-editor of the Black Cat Poetry Press. She has been featured in several publications, most recently 14 Magazine, Fawn Press and Drawn to the Light Magazine and upcoming in Seaside Gothic and Suburban Witchcraft magazines.
