We are very excited to announce our next project:
 

                                                       CATAMENIA COLLECTIVE
 


This project aims to explore periods in all their glory and grief, fertility, infertility, hormones, cycles, moons, moods, rituals, myth, pain, emotion, illness, first periods, absent periods, pregnancy, ovulation, miscarriage & loss, synthetic hormones, PMT, PMDD,  menopause, dysmenorrhea, spotting, flooding, endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroid, cysts, PCOS - whatever you'd like to share.

We welcome collaborative pieces for this project as well as individual works including poetry, prose, hybrids, art, photography and visual works.

We are also looking for reviews of poetry pamphlets/collections for this project, please get in touch if you have a book that fits this theme and you'd like it included or if you'd like to write a review.

The project will take place over the next 12-18 months and be published online in a PDF format available on our site.

This project will be run by Acropolis Editor-in-Chief Louise Mather and welcomes Zoe Davis as assistant editor. It will consist of a submission based process and collaborations. Please stay up to date with our site for details on when and how to submit.


 

Zoë Davis is a writer from Sheffield, UK, who loves exploring the mythical within the mundane. Forward Prize and Best of the Net nominee, her work can be found in publications such as Frazzled Lit, Roi Fainéant, and Luna Luna. As a stubborn FND sufferer, Zoë balances her creative life with playing wheelchair rugby league, baking cakes, and drawing all the characters that live rent-free in her head.
